Have your garden professionally designed by Taylor-Made Gardens. This could be the whole of your garden or simply a bed that you want to re-vamp and are searching for that special selection of plants to perfectly enhance the rest of your garden.

Normally, we start off by meeting the client and taking them through a fairly detailed questionnaire in order to really understand their needs. Often a client is not really sure what it is exactly that they are searching for but the questionnaire is designed to provoke thoughts and ideas which result in a very exciting design.

Garden Design Plan

A full site survey is carried out which entails measuring the garden, checking out the aspect, areas of shade and light, accessibility, noting any existing plants to be left in the design etc. Several soil samples will also be taken and analysed in order to determine the plants that would best thrive in the available soil or if it may be necessary to import topsoil once the landscaping is carried out.

Unless a client has a very specific idea of the style of garden that they require, Taylor-Made Gardens will offer around 3 concept ideas in order to really hone in on the style that is ideal for the client and that reflects the style of the house also. These are usually A4 size plan drawings with one or two perspective drawings to show the potential final design.

Garden Design Plan

The concept designs can then be discussed and various elements of each one included or not in order to reach the final plan. The final design is then drawn up in either black & white or colour, depending on the client request on A1 or A2 size paper. Planting schemes can also be included as seperate plans.

Should a client wish to carry out their own maintenance on the plants once the garden is created but maybe not have the confidence to tackle this without advice, a plant care folder can be created to indicate when and how pruning should be carried out, any special nutrients that are required and general advice for each individual plant.
